Next Las Vegas Seminar - Homeland Security and Terrorism in 3 months

They are not Islamic "Jihadis"... (DHS)

Sue Myrick, where are you? (Tancredo - anyone?)

Representative Sue Myrick (NC-9) who represents North Carolina's 9th district, which covers portions of Union, Mecklenburg, and Gaston Counties has been ignored by the MSM (main stream media) because she is unafraid of speaking the truth and challenging Americans to get their collective head out of the sand as far as Islamic terrorism (Contemporary terrorism) is concerned. With her agenda called “Wake Up America” she dares to call for...

1.  1. A government investigation of all US military chaplains who were approved by Abdurahman Alamoudi.

2.  2. A government investigation of all US prison chaplains who were approved by Abdurahman Alamoudi.

3.The Government Accounting Office (GAO) to investigate the selection process of Arabic translators in the FBI and DoD.

 4. The Internal Revenue Service to investigate the Council on American-Islamic Relations’ (CAIR) 501(c)(3) non-profit status which restricts “lobbying on behalf of a foreign government”.

.    5. A bill to make the preaching, publication, or distribution of materials that call for the death of American citizens, attacks on the United States Government or Armed Forces, or the financing of the means and/or operations to accomplish these acts, acts of sedition and/or solicitation of treason.

 6. The Government Accountability Office to conduct an audit to verify the total sovereign wealth fund investment in the United States.

7.   7. Will attempt to cancel scholarship student visa program with Saudi Arabia until they reform their textbooks.

 8. Will introduce a bill to restrict R-1/R-2 religious visas for imams who come from countries that do not allow reciprocal visits by non-Muslim clergy.

 9. Will introduce a bill to cancel contracts to train Saudi police and other security forces in US Counterterrorism tactics until the Saudi’s certify the prosecution of Al Qaeda financiers, like Yasin al-Kadi, and the detention of repatriated Guantanamo terrorists that keep being released into the general population after being “rehabilitated”.

 10. Will introduce or sponsor a bill to block the sale of sensitive military munitions, especially Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAMs), to Saudi Arabia.

Needless to say she was not ignored by the American Islamic juggernaut consisting of local Islamic groups that accused Myrick “of leading a "fear campaign" with her proposal to curb the expansion of radical Islam”, and the unindicted co-conspirator organization CAIR that “advised” the DHS to put out the most idiotic nine point “Guide to Defining Terrorists” (excerpts presented here) and the terminology to avoid so as not to offend Muslims:

1. Respond to ideologies that exploit Islam without labeling all terrorist groups as a single enemy

USG should not feed the notion that America is engaged in a broad struggle against the so-called "Muslim World."… Collapsing all terrorist organizations into a single enemy feeds the narrative that al-Qaeda represents Muslims worldwide. Al-Qaeda may be spreading its influence, but the USG should not abet its franchising by making links when none exist…For example, the cult members arrested in Miami should not be called members of al-Qaeda; and, while they are both terrorist organizations who threaten global security and stability, Hezbollah and Hamas are distinct in methods, motivations and goals from al-Qaeda

2. Do not give the terrorists the legitimacy that they seek.

What terrorists fear most is irrelevance; what they need most is for large numbers of people to rally to their cause. There was a consensus that the USG should avoid unintentionally portraying terrorists, who lack moral and religious legitimacy, as brave fighters, legitimate soldiers, or spokesmen for ordinary Muslims. Therefore, the experts counseled caution in using terms such as, "jihadist," "Islamic terrorist,'' "Islamist:" and "holy warrior" as grandiose descriptions…Regarding jihad, even if it is accurate to reference the term (putting aside polemics on its true nature), it may not be strategic because it glamorizes terrorism, imbues terrorists with religious authority they do not have, and damages relations with Muslims around the globe.

3. Proceed carefully before using Arabic and religious terminology.

USG officials may want to avoid using theological terms, particularly those in Arabic. even if such usage is benign or overtly positive. Islamic law and terms come with a particular context, which may not always be apparent. It is one thing for a Muslim leader to use a particular term… an American official may simply not have the religious authority; to be taken seriously. Even when using terms appropriately.

4. Reference the cult-like aspects of terrorists, while still conveying the magnitude of the threat we face.

In describing al-Qaeda, its supporters, and other violent extremists, some commentators have used the term "death cult." While the tern may not fully encompass or describe the threat posed by groups like al-Qaeda, it may be both accurate and useful when used as a point of comparison. Cults, while often linked to mainstream religions, have a negative connotation. As a practical matter, terrorist groups use recruitment tactics that are similar to cults: separation from family, indoctrination, and breaking down previously-held beliefs.' Based on this history and context, senior officials might use terms such as "death cult,'' "cultlike," "sectarian cult," and "violent cultists" to describe the ideology and methodology of al-Qaeda and other terrorist groups. "Cult" is both normative and accurate in that it suggests a pseudo-religious ideology that is outside the mainstream. Moreover, as there is no overt reference to Islam; these terms are not as likely to cause offense. Referring to bin Laden's movement as fringe' or "outside the mainstream" may also be helpful.

5. Use "mainstream," "ordinary," and "traditional" in favor of "moderate" when describing broader Muslim populations.

In characterizing the broader Muslim American community, the Muslim World, and Islam generally, "mainstream," "ordinary," and "traditional" are preferable to "moderate." One can be deeply religious, strictly adhere to fundamental doctrines, and nevertheless abhor violence. In addition, "mainstream" is a useful foil to the "cult" terminology referenced above.

6. Pay attention to the discourse on "takfirism".

As discussed. USG officials should use caution before employing religious terminology. But they should not be ignorant of useful phraseology according to the experts we consulted. One such term is "takfir" which refers to the practice of declaring a Muslim a  nonbeliever, and then proclaiming that their lives can be forfeited. Al-Qaeda and other terrorist groups employ takfir to name as apostates all Muslims who reject their ideology. And that this makes their blood violable…Strictly speaking, takfirism most accurately describes terrorism by Muslims against other Muslims. But it may be strategic to employ the term in a wider context given that (1) many of the leaders of al-Qaeda are known to have adopted a takfiri ideology, and (2) part of the USG’s anti-terrorism strategy should be to emphasize that the majority of the victims of modem terrorism are Muslim.'

7. Emphasize the Positive.

USG officials should emphasize the positive - what we are seeking together. In addition to recognizing the dark vision of our terrorist enemies and the need to counter their actions with all elements of national power, the USG should also attempt to convince people that this generation needs to unite to promote a common vision for the future. The experts we consulted suggested defining the challenge of our times as "A Global Struggle for Security and Progress."

…1. The civilized world is facing a "global" challenge, which transcends geography, culture and religion.

...2. This struggle is for "security," a global aspiration that all people seek. In particular, Islam emphasizes order and structure…

...3. This struggle is for "progress," over which no nation has a monopoly. The experts we consulted debated the word "liberty," but rejected it because many around the world would discount the tern as a buzzword for American hegemony…

8. Emphasize the Success of Integration.

Bin Laden and his followers will succeed if they convince large numbers of people that America and the West are at war with Islam, and that a "clash of civilizations" is inherent. Therefore, USG officials should continually emphasize a simple and straightforward truth: Muslims have been, and will continue to be part of the fabric of our country). Senior officials must make clear that there is no "clash of civilizations;" there is no "us versus them." We must emphasize that Muslims are not "outsiders" looking in, but are part of America and the West…Muslims have successfully integrated into American communities for generations. Muslim Americans are successful doctors, lawyers, teachers, first responders, Boy Scout leaders, and political leaders.

We honor and value contributions that Muslim Americans make to our communities. The motto on the seal of the United States is, "E Pluribus Unum" - out of many, one. We all need to work together to make this great motto our reality…

9. Emphasize the U.S. Government's Openness to Religious and Ethnic Communities.

Bin Laden's narrative presumes a war against Islam and rampant mistreatment of Muslims by the American and other Western governments. Extremist recruiters argue that Muslims should segregate from the larger society; moreover, their recruitment pitch depends on isolation…Senior USG officials should emphasize themes such as the following:

The USG is engaged with the American people, including Muslim Americans, looking for ways to make our communities prosperous and just. We are listening; we have an open door. There is no reason for Muslim Americans to feel isolated from their governments… Muslims Americans are playing a constructive and proactive role in improving the public policy of our country. There is no war against Muslims or Islam in America… For example, leading Arab, Muslim, and South Asian American groups have met multiple times with the Secretary of Homeland Security, the Attorney General, the Director of the FBI, the Secretary of the Treasury, and senior officials at the State Department.

Conclusion (DHS - not ours)

Words matter!  (according to DHS)

The terminology the USG uses should convey the magnitude of the threat we face, but also avoid inflating the religious bases and glamorous appeal of the extremists' ideology. Instead, USG terminology should depict the terrorists as the dangerous cult leaders they are. They have no honor, they have no dignity, and they offer no answers. While acknowledging that they have the capacity to destroy. we should constantly emphasize that they cannot build societies, and do not provide solutions to the problems people across the globe face…

Sue Myrick has this to say about border security, an issue DHS does not seem to understand, “The Secure Borders FIRST Act is what Congress should pass before we consider anything else. I have said it before, and I will say it again…if we don’t secure the borders and enforce our laws, nothing else we enact will work, the common sense policy of ‘enforcement first’ is what the American people want, and that’s why I support this bill”.

Referring to the Amnesty bill she had this to say “The American people killed this bill.  They want secure borders and they want our laws enforced.  "It is that simple; until we know these things are done, amnesty bills will continue to fail."

Referring to former president Carter she called on Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to revoke his passport.  This is in response to the former President traveling to Syria to meet with Hamas, an organization officially designated by the United States as a Foreign Terrorist Organization.

Sue Myrick looked into the Major Coughlin controversy at the Pentagon, what she needs to look into is ‘the background of Hesham Islam, a special assistant to Deputy Defense Secretary Gordon England who was the focus of a dispute with a Joint Staff counterterrorism analyst (Coughlin).’

While she’s at it here’s a list of people and events the brave lady might look into:

1. Deputy Defense Secretary Gordon England, who was advised by Major Coughlin that “the Department of Defense should cease its outreach programs with ISNA. Yet England has met repeatedly with ISNA officials, including an April 2007 luncheon at the Pentagon.” Steven Emerson, a tireless warrior in the fight against terrorists had this to say  “At the urging of a subordinate, Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon England scheduled at least two meetings with foreign emissaries in direct contradiction of U.S. policy at the time. The meetings date back to 2005. They involved a Lebanese ambassador considered a proxy for the Syrian government and a leading member of Syria's Muslim Brotherhood.

U.S. policy at the time was not to engage in talks with either man, because they represent groups with whom the United States was not to communicate. The meetings were organized by England's special assistant for international affairs, Hesham Islam.

An invitation to Muslim Brotherhood official Husam al-Dairi was canceled in late 2005 after a senior State Department official heard about it and insisted it not take place.”

Now Mr. England it seems is so infatuated with Hesham he has repeatedly stumbled and tried to gain favor from Muslim groups. “In addition to the invitations to Abboud and al-Dairi, Mr. Islam arranged for Deputy Secretary England to be a featured speaker at ISNA's (Islamic Society of North America) 43rd Annual Convention in September 2006. England reciprocated by hosting an ISNA delegation at the Pentagon on April 25, 2007. According to ISNA's publication, Islamic Horizons, Hesham Islam also attended the meeting, along with Abuhena Saifulislam, the U.S. Navy chaplain trained by ISNA's Graduate School of Islamic and Social Sciences (GSISS).”

“ISNA was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the HLF (Holy Land Foundation) trial, which ended in a mistrial… Prosecutors are preparing to retry the case”

2. Investigate the Sibel Edmonds case. Sibel, a Turkish-Farsi translator with the FBI  reported “serious acts of security breaches, cover-ups, and intentional blocking of intelligence that had national security implications. She repeatedly claimed that the government had enough information to enable it to foil the 9/11 plot. Specifically, she said the FBI had information that terrorists planned to fly planes into the World Trade Center. She also believed the evidence she saw meant that narcotics money was going to both Al Qaeda and US politicians. Three weeks after she testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee she was terminated."

3. The 911 Commission who deceived the American people and found no one accountable for the deaths of thousands of innocents.

4. Nada Nadim Prouty, the CIA and the FBI. Nada Nadim Prouty who  emigrated to United States from Lebanon in 1989, . She was given citizenship five years later and joined the FBI as a special agent 1999.
According to CBS “While working as a special agent, Prouty improperly searched an FBI computer database for information about her relatives and links they might have to the Hezbollah terrorist organization, the criminal sheet showed. She joined the CIA in 2003 and resigned as part of her guilty plea…”

5. Karl Rove the patron of Grover Norquist and Fasil Gil (pictured above with Abdurahman Alamoudi) Ms Myrick needs to look into the connection these three men have.

Maybe Ms. Myrick will read Paul Sperry’s "Infiltration: How Muslim Spies and Subversives Have Penetrated Washington. In which he mentions:

"We should be able to infiltrate the sensitive intelligence agencies or the embassies in order to collect information," the document says. Unfortunately, our "sensitive intelligence agencies" have not made it very hard for them to put agents in place. Thanks to sloppy background checks and political correctness, a number of them have penetrated the government, including:

• Abdurahman Alamoudi, who worked for the State Department and Pentagon, where he created the military's Muslim chaplain corps — even though he was caught on tape supporting terrorists at anti-Israeli rallies. He's now behind bars for terror, exposed as one of al-Qaida's top fundraisers in the U.S.

• David Hossain Safavian, who got a high-level White House job despite records showing he lobbied on behalf of Alamoudi. Safavian is serving an 18-month prison term for lying to federal investigators.

• Faisal Gill, who omitted the fact he worked for Alamoudi in his application for a high-level Homeland Security Department job, where he obtained top secret clearance before being suspended.

• Ahmad Al-Halabi, whom the Air Force assigned to Gitmo as a translator even though he previously had been under investigation for making anti-American statements. Halabi later pleaded guilty to mishandling classified information and lying to investigators.

• Ahmed Fathy Mehalba, another Gitmo translator who was hired as a contractor even though his girlfriend was investigated for stealing a classified Army laptop. Mehalba later was convicted of stealing secret documents from Gitmo.

• Sadeq Naji Ahmed, whom the Transportation Security Administration hired as an airport screener after the Air Force kicked him out for making statements supporting Osama bin Laden and praising the 9/11 attacks. Ahmed worked almost a year before TSA found he previously had his security clearance revoked.

• Warith-Deen Umar, hired by the Federal Bureau of Prisons to minister to Muslim inmates, even though he praised the 9/11 hijackers as Allah's "martyrs." Despite reports Umar gave extremist sermons, the government gave him outstanding evaluations.”

Conclusion (ours) : We understand there’s a lot here to look into, but we also understand there’s a lot at stake. Therefore Ms. Myrick being the fighter she is (cancer survivor) should consult those “experts” (hate that word) who “Know the Enemy”, who unlike Esposito, D’Souza, Karen Armstrong, and other apologists, do not receive “honorariums” from Muslim organizations. In fact each one of us has received only threats from Islamic terrorists.

Will you run for president Ms Myrick?
